Bhopal The state cabinet, headed by chief minister Mohan Yadav, on Tuesday approved the implementation of the Fourth Time Scale Scheme (assured career progression) for assistant teachers, teachers of the academic cadre, and primary and middle school teachers of the new teaching cadre on completion of 35 years of service on or after July 1, 2023. For this, an amount of Rs 322.34 crore was approved.

In another decision, the cabinet approved an estimated expenditure of Rs 3,660 crore for the establishment of 200 fully equipped Sandipani Schools in the second phase of the scheme.

Keeping in view Simhastha-2028, the cabinet on Tuesday approved the Ujjain city water augmentation scheme at a cost of Rs 1,133.67 crore. The cabinet also approved a compensation grant of Rs 90 lakh for the family of deceased assistant sub-inspector of police Ramcharan Gautam.

The Council of ministers approved a 50% rebate on motor vehicle tax on automobile sales at the Gwalior Trade Fair-2026 and Ujjain Vikramotsav Trade Fair-2026. In another major decision, the cabinet approved 3 solar- cum-energy storage power supply projects to meet the state's energy requirements.

Approval was also given for Rs 898 crore for irrigation projects in Rajgarh and Raisen districts. The cabinet also approved the implementation of the Madhya Pradesh SpaceTech Policy-2026, considering the availability of 322 industrial parks, electronics manufacturing clusters, 31 GW power supply, excellent educational institutions, and a favourable ecosystem in the state, with a view to promoting space-grade manufacturing.

Under the scheme, works such as construction of master plan roads, major and other district roads, road safety and urban traffic improvement, 100% drinking water supply, sewerage, gap coverage in other projects, interception and diversion drains, STP construction, and other priority works of the state govt will be undertaken.
